The 2023 World Mining Congress (WMC) is being held in Brisbane Australia from the 26th to the 29th of June.
The WMC is held every 3 years in different places across the globe and allows of representatives of business, academia and governments from across the globe, to come together to meet and consider challenges and solutions. These issues include emerging technologies in mining sciences, economics, mining health and safety, social impacts and environmental protection.
The focus for this Congress is Resourcing Tomorrow: Creating Value for Society.
There will be over 2,500 delegates expected to attend from over 50 countries and over 1,000 organisations. There are 400 presenters and over 250 exhibitors.
The host organisation is Australia’s Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO).
The Congress is being held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre at South Bank directly across the river from the central business district.
